ELMIN was established in November of 2000 with the aim of:

a) exploitation in Greece and abroad of all types of mines and quarries,
b) processing and marketing of produced ore and minerals.

ELMIN was the selected bidder at the international public auction that took place in November 1999 for sale of assets under liquidation of the company ELBAUMIN that concerns exploitation of Bauxite and concisely includes:

• Bauxite Mines privately-owned and rented in the prefectures of Attica, Fthiotida, Viotia, Fokida and Evia.

• Mines in the above prefectures.

• Port loading facilities and bauxite processing installations, with the rights of use of seashore and coast area in Agia Marina, Fthiotida and the Itea Fokida.

• Mobile mechanical equipment and transportation means.

• Stock of auxiliary materials and spare parts.

• Reserves of semi-ready bauxite products.

• Requirements, Titles, Signs.

On 01-01-2003 the company was transferred into anonymous one in accordance with the article 67 par.2 N.2190/1920 with the name “ELLENIC MINING ENTERPRISES S.A.” with an equity capital of € 13,297,000.00.
